Some of the many videos that have been done recently are now posted on our web page. Look under Visit the Farm to access them.

Visiting the farm now are two videographers, Travis and Morgan of EcoJaunt. They specialize in doing videos of “how to” make life better on planet Earth. Take a look!

Have been harvesting 15-20 lbs of salad mix per week for several weeks now. Our CSA boxes have benefited from them and the Blue Schorcher Bakery and Cafe in Astoria has been using them too! Today is 4th of July, Enjoy Larkin

New Farmers Market in Long Beach!!!

Farmers Market in Long Beach, WA tomorrow – 4-7pm!

Wow, months and months of meetings has culminated in the first farmers market here. We will have lots of starts, mainly lettuces and kales for sale. Wet and cool temps here, thanks for the greenhouses!!!!!!

Benefit raises funds and awareness

April 9 was truly Farm Aid Day here. We raised $1,500 at the evenings festivities and over $1,500 since then has come in via check and PayPal donations. A heartfelt thanks to all who donated, the funds were put to good use in stopping the foreclosure.!!!!!!!

This Sat. April 9th Farm Aid for Green Angel Gardens

Come and enjoy us at the Ft. George Brewery in Astoria this Sat. 6-10pm. Farmer poets, song writers, story tellers all sharing and helping to raise the $9,000 we need to stave off a bank foreclosure. Look forward to seeing you there!

Opportunity to share the wealth, April 9th, Farm Aid Day

We are celebrating Farm Aide Day on April 9th as a way to give to your local farms. We ask that folks send us $1.00 to help with our negotiations with the banking establishment. THEN, turn around and find your nearest farm and give them a dollar. April 9th – Farm Aid Day Benefit at the Ft George Brewery in Astoria. 6-10pm stories, poems and music about farming and growing food will raise money for Green Angel Gardens. We are promoting Farm Aid because we are facing a foreclosure from one bank as of April 15th. The landscaping company that paid the bills for 15 years died in the economic collapse. So after year of working with banks to lower payments and interest has been unproductive. We need to raise $9,000 by April 15th to stop the foreclosure sale. Thank you for any and all donations! New Year Blogging

Well all the CSA boxes are put to bed for the night. 16 this week, putting them together is one of my favorite tasks, the color and variety is awesome. We are able to offer CSA all year because we buy from other regional farms to make up what we don’t grow. This week saw lots of root crops, apples and pears and chard and kale. Here is a pic.

A whole new look for Green Angel Gardens Farm Store! For years people have used the open garage door, now with the arrow, to come and go. This is great on good weather days but here in the Northwest we have weather! So now a real door allows rainy weather shoppers to come and go without being blown in. The sign is awesome and a big step forward for the Center. Hmmm now how to get folks to slow down and come in??????

Yup this is me, Larkin

What a great year it has been for volunteers here at Green Angel Gardens. Most recently two graduates from Chicago helped out with the added bonus of being musically inclined too so we jammed a bit too. MacKenzie and Austin were a great help and MacKenzie left some great cookies to tide me over. In future blogs I’ll feature some of the wonderful folks who have helped this year. Volunteering on local farms helps beyond measure, so if you get the chance or rather make it happen, volunteer on a local farm! Meanwhile enjoy some of the photos here.
